On September 30, 1999, a horrific accident unfolded at the Tokaimura Nuclear Power Plant in Japan. The unfortunate worker Hisashi Ouchi, while conducting maintenance on a fuel storage facility, suffered from a fatal dose of radiation. The severity of the contamination was immediate and catastrophic. Ouchi's organs began to deteriorate immediately.
